Introducing MHOA
Mobile
Home Owners of America, Inc.
Since 1966
Mobile Home Owners of
Membership is open to individuals
who own mobile/manufactured homes or organizations who demonstrate an interest
in the mobile/manufactured housing way of life. We engage in political and
legislative activities by lobbying and assist MHOA chapters in understanding
their rights under the law.
The purpose and objective that
guides MHOA was designed with a concern for improving the quality of life for
all mobile home owners, and also promoting the health, safety and welfare of
the owners of mobile/manufactured homes. MHOA?s major
activities center around:
? Encouraging resident homeowners in
parks to form a chapter, centering on the importance of how this allows the
residents to speak united when dealing with park problems.
? Offer guidance to chapters or
individual members when issues arise between residents and park management or
park owners.
? Educate people who live in
mobile/manufactured home communities as to the rights afforded to them by law.
(RCW 59.20 ? The Mobile/Manufactured Home Landlord Tenant Act.)
? Monitor, initiate and promote
legislation relating to mobile/manufactured homes and speaking as an organized
voice for homeowners to Government.
? Help mobile/manufactured home owners
help themselves in a variety of different ways.
? Provide the basic guidance for
exercising the residents? option for ?Right of First Refusal.?
? Provide park purchase information
and assistance.
The Duvall Highlands Homeowners Association MHOA
representative is Sylvia McGahuey.
We are presently working with the
resources provided by MHOA to further our interests in possibly purchasing the
Duvall Highlands Mobile Home Park. To be considered as a possible shareholder
in the park purchase, it is important that you maintain a membership with MHOA
as well as the Duvall Highlands Homeowners Association.
