Park PurchaseThe primary goal of the Duvall Highlands Homeowners Association is to, hopefully, one day be able to create a cooperative and purchase the park from the present owner. The current owner has not indicated a willingness to sell, however, it is imperative that we get a proposal created and preparations made so we will be ready to purchase the park if the park owner is eventually willing to sell. Stephanie Cornell is the Park Purchase Coordinator and is coordinating our efforts with the park purchase. The association is presently working with a national organization that helps residents purchase parks. The organization will be assisting us in creating a proposal and with all aspects of funding. To date, the association coordinator has completed multiple surveys and questionnaires, supplied by the national organization, to prepare the purchase proposal. A representative from the national organization is planning a trip to the Seattle area and has agreed to meet with association members to address any questions about the possibility of the park purchase. An exact date has not yet been set, however, once it is set an association meeting will be scheduled and announced. Presently, the national organization needs a resident questionnaire completed by every association member that is interested in taking part in the purchase. This does not commit you to being a part of the purchase, however, it does indicate your interest and intent and will provide the organization with important information that must be included in the park purchase proposal. Resident Quesionnaires will be distributed to association members with the next newsletter. Please return these documents to Bev Cornell, space 75, as soon as possible. If you are not presently a member and wish to take part in the purchase preparations, please submit your membership application and dues to Bev Cornell as soon as possible. To be considered as a part of the park purchase, it is necessary for residents to be members of the Duvall Highlands Homeowners Association, as well as Mobile Homeowners of America (MHOA). If the association is ultimately successful with the purchase, residents will have the option of becoming shareholders in the park. Please see the Park Purchase Presentation Notes for further information about how the cooperative would work. ![]() Park Purchase Presentation Notes ![]() ![]() |
